April 2009 Meeting

The April 2009 meeting is Friday, April 3rd at the Brewhouse.  We have two talks scheduled:

Integer Attacks

Covering the common integer attacks prevalent in strong-typed languages (overflow, underflow, truncation, etc).  Example code will be in C.

Introduction to packet analysis (how do I shot sniffer ?)

We will go over the basics of capturing network data, filtering, analyzing and possibly mangling said data.  As always, we will focus on open source / free software and tools and the hackers perspective.

Obligatory bio blurb:

vom is a network engineer for a regional technology and service provider. His interests include networking, *nix / open source, and security.  vom’s first modem was 300 baud (that’s bits per second you damned kids).

Post-meeting

After the meeting, we usually go to GameWorks.  This month, Xodia has graciously invited the whole group over for Bad Movie Night.  We will be watching Masters of the Universe and Surf Ninjas.
